In every MMORPG, people create alts next to their main character, to kill time, play on when they're bored, and other reasons. This is normalin any game.
We have some standard "guide lines" for the alts. (That said there can be exceptions if you can convince an Officer it is a good idea.)

1. You may have up to 3 alts within the guild. (i.e. 4 characters in total)
2. You must play your alts atleast once a month, so it avoids the cleansings of inactives. (just logging in for a few seconds is enough)
3. Your alt should be useful to the guild (so if your main is a tank, don't add another tank)
4. You should level up your main towards 45/50 first before serious ranking of your alts.

We encourage the creation of alts, it makes you a better player since you get an understanding for the other roles.
